A new area, "Lake Terrace," will be opening above Lake Miyazawa! This new area allows you to view the Moominvalley area, the bathing hut, and more from above the lake. The space that spreads out about 40m from the lake shore along the boardwalk is surrounded by beautiful scenery that blends in with the surrounding nature, and you can enjoy the feeling of being in a storybook world, just like Moomintroll diving into the sea from the bathing hut. Along with the extraordinary sense of openness, the refreshing breeze blowing across the lake surface will make your summer moments even more comfortable, allowing you to experience a special time.

A large water play area measuring 10m x 10m, "Moominvalley Splash Pool," has been installed on the terrace over the lake! Both children and adults will enjoy the sensation of playing on the lake, which is sure to be captivating. This "Moominvalley Splash Pool" is a seasonal summer event that utilizes the "Terrace over the Lake." A pergola approximately 15m long has been installed as a shade spot, so that you can enjoy it comfortably even on hot days. In the future, we plan to develop elaborate seasonal exhibits, and we hope to develop it as an ever-evolving experiential area where you can discover something new every time you visit.
