Moominvalley Park will be sharing information related to the horse, the zodiac sign for 2026. We will be focusing on the horse-like characters that appear in the many Moomin stories, and introducing ways to enjoy the park.

▶The "Snow Horse" that appears in the novel "Winter in Moominvalley"
The winter event "WINTER WONDERLAND 2025 in MOOMINVALLEY PARK" has begun at Moominvalley Park, and a 4m-long "Snow Horse" will be appearing again this year near the balcony of Moominhouse! What's more, this year an artificial snow machine will be used to recreate the "Snow Horse" standing in the snow! Look up like Moomintroll in the story.
The novel "Winter in Moominvalley" tells the story of Moomintroll, who wakes up alone from hibernation and heads south to meet Snufkin, embarking on his first winter adventure. In the story, Moomintroll finds a "snow horse" made by Too-Ticky near the balcony of Moominhouse. Too-Ticky says that this horse, with a broom tail and small mirrors for eyes, is the horse of the "Ice Princess," who freezes anything she looks at.

▶Even Moomin is fascinated! "Flower Horse/Sea Horse"

Flower horses are said to wear flower-patterned velvet coats and flower ornaments around their necks. The two horses that appear in the novel "Moominpappa at Sea" are called "sea horses" because they run around the beach and disappear into the sea. Their beauty is so captivating that Moomin is captivated by them.
Within the park, you can find them in the dioramas on the 2nd and 3rd floors of KOKEMUS, in the exhibition area on the 2nd floor, and on the Hanauma Merry-go-round, a playground equipment themed around the Hanauma.

▶The Aurora Children's Hospital mural "Play" is recreated on the spiral staircase from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor of KOKEMUS.

The mural "Play" from Aurora Children's Hospital has been recreated on the spiral staircase at Kokemus. The mural, created by Tove Jansson, the creator of the Moomin stories, was created in response to requests from the children to create a mural that would not make them feel like they were in a hospital, would excite them, and would lead them to the examination rooms in a fun way. The mural also features a floral horse.
