Moominvalley Park will be hosting its annual and highly popular event , " Moominvalley and Umbrellas ," starting Saturday , April 11, 2026.
The theme for 2026 is " Comet in Moominland ." As the message "We are braver together" conveys in the story , Moomintroll hears rumors that a comet is coming to Moominvalley, and together with his friends, they overcome various difficulties and aim for the observatory.
With the support of our friends, we can overcome any of the various difficulties that stand in our way.
This year's Umbrellas express the joy of friends and the beauty and vibrancy of Moomin Valley through a colorful umbrella sky . The shadows of the umbrellas, filtered through the sunlight, are colorful, and the reflections on rainy days shine with vibrant hues, creating a breathtaking 200-meter-long umbrella sky road that will make you feel excited just walking through it.
In the sky, balloons featuring character panels of the Moomin Valley characters from " Comet in Moominland " will appear inside colorful umbrellas, creating an exciting and photogenic space.
Additionally, from mid-May, hydrangeas will be planted along the side of the bathing hut street, and the "Umbrella Sky and Hydrangea Road" event will be held, where umbrellas will be hung in the sky and hydrangeas will be displayed on the ground in a spectacular display.
Enjoy not only the umbrella sky above, but also the ever-changing beauty of the ground depending on the weather, and the hydrangeas whose colors change according to the season, all while experiencing the story of the 2026 limited-time theme, "Comet in Moominland."

▶A 200-meter-long umbrella sky themed after "Comet in Moominland"
An umbrella sky themed after "Comet in Moominland" has appeared 200 meters above the entrance, as you pass through the bathing hut street and head towards the Moominvalley area!
A special Umbrella Sky Road will appear only in 2026, featuring balloons with illustrations from the original book "Comet in Moominland" peeking out from between colorful umbrellas. Enjoy the photogenic Umbrella Sky while feeling the Moomin stories amidst the rich natural scenery.
▶This year, the coloring and lighting of the umbrella sky will be synchronized.
This year, the Umbrella Sky will be illuminated not only during the day but also in the evening. The trees will be vividly lit up with a gradient of lights that matches the colors of the Umbrella Sky. In addition to the splendor of the daytime, please enjoy the magical atmosphere created by the Umbrella Sky.

From around mid-May, hydrangeas will be planted along the side of the bathing hut street, where the umbrella sky stretches out, transforming the area into a vibrant space adorned with umbrellas in the sky and hydrangeas on the ground. Enjoy the fantastical atmosphere created by the colorful gradient of umbrellas in the sky and the hydrangeas decorating the ground.
