Moominvalley Park will be hosting its popular annual summer event, "Water Play in Moominvalley," from July 3rd (Fri) to September 6th (Sun), 2026. Simultaneously, the adjacent metsä Village will be hosting "Elf Forest - metsä's Sea of ​​Clouds 2026," a wondrous world of trees awakened by the magical power of the Nordic fairies, the elves.

We've previewed three new programs making their debut this summer : "Summer with Moran and Snow & Splash!" , where you can have a blast splashing water with Moran, the monster that freezes everything; " Sunny Sunny Playtime!" , featuring Moominvalley characters in swimsuits and summer items, depicting a summer moment spent at the beach; and " Hattifattener Downpour," where a torrential downpour suddenly descends on an island full of Hattifatteners .

On Lake Miyazawa, a gigantic 16m x 20m "Terrace on the Lake" has been transformed into a new kind of water play spot called "Hattifattener's Downpour," designed to awaken your sense of adventure.

Crossing a wooden walkway where a pleasant breeze blows from the shade of the trees, you'll find a new attraction that offers a unique 360-degree water spray experience. The music shifts from bright and refreshing tunes to tense, dramatic music that mirrors the changing weather, before suddenly drenching you in a torrential downpour. This is the perfect spot for those who want to get soaked while anticipating when the downpour will strike.
