An elderly couple living in the great outdoors, filmed by their daughter, in this Nordic documentary about the philosophy of living simply and richly.

Oldedalen is a mountainous region in western Norway, surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful nature. This film is a year-long documentary by documentary filmmaker Margret Olin (If Buildings Could Talk, etc.), the daughter of an elderly couple who live in this valley, which boasts some of the most magnificent fjords on earth. Watching her parents, who are rooted in the earth and live a simple and rich life, the daughter learns about the meaning of life and death. What does it mean to live, and to grow old? This is a moving documentary that explores life through the story of a family living through the harsh yet beautiful four seasons of Norway.

Wim Wenders, the master director who is still fresh in our minds with his hit film ``Perfect Days,'' and Liv Ullmann, Norway's greatest actress who is also known as the muse of director Ingmar Bergman (``Persona,'' ``The Woman in the Mirror''), are sympathetic to this project and are serving as executive producers.
