Attention point

Mifuko

Fair trade baskets made with people and the environment in mind.
Mifuko baskets combine timeless Scandinavian design with traditional African craftsmanship: they are conceived and designed by two Finnish designers, and hand-woven by a team of around 2 women artisans in rural Kenya.
Each basket is signed by the artisan who made it. When you see the tag, which is a sign of respect for the artisan, it stimulates your imagination and gives you a real feeling that you have just received a piece of art from the maker. It may also spark your imagination about the people and environment living in the faraway land of Kenya.
