Let's learn about the ecology of the Tokyo salamanders living in metsä village! - Part 6: Counting egg sacs -

\Let's protect the lives of rare creatures living in metsä! /

Did you know that Lake Miyazawa, surrounded by forests and lakes and rich in nature, is home to the Tokyo giant salamander, a species designated as endangered?

These creatures, who live a mysterious life between land and water, survive quietly in a certain place in Metsä Village.

This time, we'll be counting the egg sacs that they laid at the spawning grounds that were prepared in November!

Join us in collecting data on the Tokyo salamander, which comes to the waterside to lay eggs at this time of year!

*Half price will be offered to those participating in the "Living Creature Conservation Activities at Metsä! Protect the Tokyo Salamander" eco-tour in November 7.
