[8/9] Let's celebrate 'Moomin Day 2026' at Moominvalley Park!

Moominvalley Park celebrates August 9th (Sunday), the birthday of Moomin creator Tove Jansson, as "Moomin Day."
On the day of the event, we will deliver a special day filled with a celebratory atmosphere from morning till night, including a greeting with all the Moomin Valley characters, a "card holder" giveaway, and a "Moomin Day Commemorative Fireworks Display" set to an original song. Furthermore, we have decided to hold the "Kippis!! at Lettura Lounge ~An Invitation from the Moomin Valley Characters~" greeting dinner, which was a great success last year and can be enjoyed with all five senses. Advance ticket sales will begin on Tuesday, July 21st.
From August 9th (Sunday) to August 16th (Sunday), it will be "Moomin Day Special Week," with plenty of events to enjoy no matter how many times you visit, including character cards and original stickers as gifts, limited-edition art lattes for sale, and food trucks. Let's celebrate this memorable day together at Moominvalley Park, where the Moominvalley characters are waiting for you!

A special program for that day only.

The hugely popular "Gyugyu Happy! ~Happy Meet & Greet~" will be performed in a special one-time-only version on Sunday, August 9th. Moomintroll, Little My, Snufkin, Moominpappa, Moominmamma, Ancestor, Snorkmaiden, Sniff, and other Moominvalley characters will all be there! To allow those who cannot come to Moominvalley Park to celebrate with us, we are also planning an Instagram Live broadcast on the day. Furthermore, in the afternoon, we will be inviting 50 lucky groups by lottery to a "Moomin Day Special Greeting" where you can take photos with Moomintroll, Little My, Snufkin, Moominpappa, Moominmamma, and Ancestor (tentative)!

On Sunday, August 9th, "Moomin Day," guests who enter the park will receive a limited-edition card holder (business card size) as a gift. You can use it to store your favorite photos taken with the Moomin Valley characters, or you can use it as a pass case.

▶In the evening, the "Moomin Day Commemorative Fireworks Display 2026" will be held.

Enjoy a 15-minute fireworks display set to an original Moominvalley Park song. Don't miss this fantastical spectacle of light, where a dazzling dance of starbursts and spectacular bursts of large, blooming fireworks will paint the night sky over Lake Miyazawa in vibrant colors.
